What is Vism?
Vism is a all-in-one visual design tool. It allows you to create, store, and share beautiful designs without any hassle. Although it has only existed for seven years, it has already gathered more than 12.3 million users in 120 countries.
While you can use Visme to create virtually any type of visual content, it's great for..: `
- Create of beautiful presentations
- Creating interactive infographics
- Create graphs and maps to visualize information
- Banners, ads, and other elements for your website (or social media) to make a good first impression
- Scheduling and creating your graphics for social media
Visme's infographic and presentation templates are some of the best I've seen on a freemium software.
In addition, the application is beginner-friendly. It's clear that Visme is for small business owners, marketing teams, and content creators who don't have a lot of experience with graphic design, but who still want eye-catching visuals for their brand.
Features
Learn about all the features of Visme and see how it compares to websites like Canva.
1. Content types
Tired of creating slides from scratch? You can choose from hundreds of Visme presentation templates. You can change each one as you like.
Visme infographic templates are also available. Content blocks are customizable because you can add empty spaces or use formats for titles, statistics, and charts. You can use the other layouts for videos, documents, printables, and social media graphics.
Unfortunately, Visme has a low storage capacity. Also, with the exception of infographics, the sizes of its templates are fixed. You can create a custom sized canvas, but it won't work with any of the pre-made templates.
2. Brand image
The brand kit is the best infographic tool that Visme offers. With this feature, you can stay true to your brand no matter what hardware you create. It includes:
- Brand logos: Upload your logos and determine where they should appear on your content.
- Branded fonts: Set the default fonts for the header and body text. You can upload your own fonts or choose from the 120 fonts available in the Visme library.
- Brand colors: Enter the hexadecimal value for your brand colors. You can insert up to six colors per palette and set a default background color.
- Branded templates: Specify projects as the default template for each type of content. You can choose from the available Visme templates or select your own designs.
- Branded links: Add your website and social media URLs and set them as the default links.
You can enable restrictions on specific users, so that they are only allowed to use brand settings. Note that the brand kit is only available to Business and Enterprise subscription users.
3. Slide library
Other reviews on Visme don't mention the slide library, but we find it very useful. With this feature, you can create a universal version of the standard slides you used. Each time the original version is updated, the changes are automatically applied to each presentation.
4. Data analysis
In addition to being a creator of interactive infographics, Visme also functions as a tool for data visualization.
It tracks traffic for all of your projects, so you can know who viewed them and for how long.
All you need to do is publish the infographics in public, and Visme will take care of the rest. The analysis function will show you reports that contain:
- Total visitors : The total number of visitors per project.
- Average visit : The average length of visits.
- Activity : The average percentage of content viewed per project.
You can see the total number of people who visited the site in a given period of time by choosing a specific date range. You also have access to data per visitor, such as date and time, IP address, location (country), and total length of visit.
5. Lead generation
As a data analysis software, Visme collects leads. Each time content is viewed, the viewer must fill out a contact form. You can export them as CSV files and import them into third-party programs such as newsletter applications and CRM software. While only a few other Visme reviews mentioned this feature, we think it's one of its best.
6. Collaboration
Invite teammates to share their thoughts and ideas online. Your teammates can view, annotate, or edit based on the level of access you give them. You can leave clear instructions using the six annotation tools.
You and other collaborators can exchange comments in a thread and mark it as resolved when complete. Unfortunately, this feature does not yet allow users to work on the same project.
7. Voiceover
You can create self-generating presentations and audio how-tos by adding voiceover to your Visme presentation.
You can choose from dozens of free audio clips in a variety of genres and environments, but you can also upload your own audio files. These clips can be attached to a specific slide or set as background music for the entire presentation. Audio recording is also possible.
Each audio can be edited per slide. You can cut the clip, add fades, adjust the volume, and loop the audio. With the voiceover feature, you can turn any written content into a narrated Vism slideshow.
8. Project publication
You can distribute your infographics in three different ways:
- Share online : Generates a shareable link that anyone online can access. You can use it to add material to emails or websites.
- Share privately : Generates an encrypted link that you can share via email with teammates.
- Download : Convert your files to high-quality PDF, JPEG, PNG, PNG, PNG, PowerPoint, PowerPoint, PowerPoint, MP4, GIF, or Visme interactive infographics (HTML5).
9. Integrations
Visme integrates into a wide range of applications. You can insert assets from third-party websites and services by clicking on the “Apps” tab on your dashboard.
For example, if you click on the YouTube icon, you can embed videos by pasting the URLs onto your design.
There are also integrations for:

Alternatives to Vism
If Visme is a great presentation software, social media, and infographics, it's not the only graphic design software suitable for beginners on the market.
Here is how it compares to its competitors:
1. Prezi
Prezi is an online presentation application that helps users create, edit, and share dynamic presentations on any device.
It is one of Visme's main competitors and both platforms offer a lot of the same tools. The differences are mainly in pricing and support.
Prezi's price for a two-seat team is considerably high compared to Visme. Additionally, in terms of ongoing product support, Prezi's support quality is considerably lower than that offered by Visme, according to numerous comments from G2.
2. Canva
Canva is more intuitive and modern than Visme, although it has the same working interface. It has a greater number of free templates, and premium plans are cheaper. Plus, it offers a platform called Canva for Education at no additional cost. All in all, Canva is the perfect multi-purpose infographic creator.
Both have tools of graphic design similar, but Canva has gradient, icon import, automatic resizing, and scheduling features. In terms of storage capacity, Canva trumps Visme. It also has mobile applications and can be deployed on Windows and macOS.
As for Visme, it has more in-depth settings and widgets of Dataviz tools. Unlike Canva, it has a media manager, design collaboration, and analytical tools. These characteristics make it the best infographic creator for businesses and NGOs. Visme can also be integrated with third party programs, which is a feature that Canva lacks.
3. Microsoft PowerPoint
Microsoft PowerPoint is designed to help you use your presentations to tell a powerful story. Using the platform is easy and you can easily share your slides online.
Visme, on the other hand, allows you to do much more than just PowerPoint and presentations.
In addition, Visme is free to use, while Microsoft PowerPoint starts at $6.99 per month for Office 365 or a one-time payment of $149.99 for Office Home and Student.

How much does Vism cost?
Visme has a free version that allows you to use most of the features. Subscribing to Visme costs $25/month or $15/month if you sign up for one year. The business plan costs $49/month or $29/month on the annual plan. For the business plan, you can get a quote from the Visme team.
Conclusion
As many other Visme reviews have concluded, it is one of the best infographic tools on the market today.
It's easy to use and designed with lots of free templates, an editor, and data analysis features that make graphic design an easy task.
However, these capabilities are only available on the web. It does not have a mobile application. Visme also offers limited storage capacity, even if you subscribe to the more expensive plan.
