What is Tailor Brands?

Tailor Brands is an AI-powered platform that offers a comprehensive course in both brand design and marketing tools. With its unified approach to branding, you can:

  • Creating a logo from scratch
  • Put your logo on everything - from business cards to flip flops (I know, right?)
  • Design your digital map and your website.

In short, Tailor Brands tries to be both the designer and the manager of your brand.

One of its main advantages is its accessibility and ease of use. You don't have to be a creative professional to do something worthwhile.

This all sounds great in theory, but what about in practice? That's what this Tailor Brands review is for. We tested its main features and looked at pricing and user support, so you don't have to.

Here's what we found.

How you use Tailor Brands and what you get

“It took Tailor Brands less than 10 minutes to give me a complete visual identity.”

For our review of Tailor Brands, we decided to put that quote to the test on the company's homepage.

To get a logo on Tailor Brands, you need to complete a short questionnaire about your business and brand preferences. This includes the type of fonts you like and the name of your business.

For our simulation, we started a classic car company...

Tailor Brands Logo Creation Step 1

Give Tailor Brands information about your brand and they'll design a stylish logo for you.

A bar shows you how long the process you still have to complete.

Tailor Brands Logo Creation Step 4

Tailor Brands will base your logo on the style you tell it to be.

You can choose whether you want a logo based on an icon, name, or initial, and you can experiment with different font styles.

Top tip: To get the most out of Tailor Brands, think about your business before you start. Is it formal or fun? A product or a service? Local or national? By first defining theIdentity of your company, Tailor Brands will be able to generate the logo that you fits.

Once you're done, the Tailor Brands algorithm generates a number of logo options based on your answers. You can see how each of these would look on things like business cards, bags, and T-shirts.

Here is the logo we chose on the home page of a website, for example:

Tailor Brands Finished Logo

With Tailor Brands, you can see your branding dreams become a reality right before your eyes.

Overall, we found the Tailor Brands system to be smooth, dynamic, and even fun! We appreciated the fact that you could go back to a previous page if you made a mistake without having to start over.

Worried that Tailor Brands is too robotic?

Don't be. Sure, Tailor Brands is automated, but it doesn't produce logos randomly. The results are highly personalized because they are based on the information that you provide. It's pretty rare to see such a level of individuality in an affordable logo generator.

It's like working with a designer, without the bill that makes you wince at the end! Of course you won't get exactly the same creativity as with a full-time designer. But if you have a budget to stick to, don't know where to start, or don't want to go through thousands of charts, Tailor Brands is a great option.

Features

That's where Tailor Brands really shines. It accompanies you in all stages of creating a business. Most Tailor Brands reviews only feature a few basic features - but not ours! So, fasten your seat belts — there are lots of features waiting to be discovered.

Let's get to the heart of the matter.

Logo maker

Our first stop, the renowned logo designer Tailor Brands. On the site, they promise you that using it is easy and fast, and that the result is professional and unique. But are they up to the task?

We are going to find out.

For the introduction part, you need to enter your business name, with an optional slogan, and write a brief description of your business and the sector in which you operate.

The logo creator Tailor Brands' snapshot then allows you to choose a logo type: based on an icon, a name, or an initial. For our imaginary game channel, we chose an icon-based design.

You can choose between simple icons or abstract geometric shapes to represent your brand.

Let's take a quick look at them.

Icon design

Tailor's icon database is reasonably sized and offers a wide range of symbols. On the other hand, it is not possible to combine two or more icons or to download your own to get a more unique look.

Geometric shape design

Tailor Brands' abstract designs are interesting and could make your logo stand out. However, you only have 20 of them to choose from, and many look a bit alike.

You have chosen your type of logo and now what to do?

You're moving on to font styles.

Font styles

You can choose three font styles that match the spirit of your brand. There are 15 styles to choose from. You can get creative by mixing styles like “Tall,” “Elegant,” and “Masculine,” for example. It's just a shame you can't know the names of these Tailor Brands fonts because they're not available.

Finally, AI does its magic, based on your previous choices and the company's presentation.

You are almost there!

But before you can take a look at its creation, they hit you with the “Subscribe” stick. A cheeky tactic, but you can't blame them too much.

Logo generator

After subscribing, the Tailor Brands logo creator allows you to scroll through a list of generated logos. The problem is that the more you scroll through the list, the less relevant the results are. In the end, you only have twenty decent Tailor Brands logos to choose from, the others being repetitive.

Customizing the logo

Now for the fun part! After choosing a logo from the list, you can change it:

  • Text (font styles, letter spacing, slogan size, etc.)
  • The overall shape of the Tailor Brands logo design
  • The icon (only the size, though)
  • Color (palettes and layout)
  • The layout of the logo (position and alignment).

You can also review the Tailor Brands models you've saved. Overall, it works perfectly well and is extremely easy to use. The only thing we have complaints about is the image in the free Tailor Brands logo sample. If you click on the tiny sample download icon, all you get is a disappointing 200x200 JPG file.

If you want to download your logo files in high quality in JPG and PNG formats, you'll need to upgrade to one of Tailor Brands' plans (basic, standard, or premium). For the glorious EPS vector files, you'll need to be on the standard plan at least.

Our final verdict?

As promised, the free Tailor Brands logo maker is fast, easy, and allows you to get a professional-looking logo. However, due to its limited customization choices, we're not sure about the “unique” part.

Nonetheless, as the jewel in the Tailor Brands crown (and the culmination of all Tailor Brands reviews), it's well worth its praises.

Website builder

The Tailor Brands website builder can help you create and publish your brand website, and connect it to your professional domain. Tailor Brands premium subscribers can choose from their DIY templates and create their webshop or their blog.

The final look of your website depends on its purpose: whether it's to promote services, present products, or a portfolio/resume site.

It is interesting to note that there are two editing modes available: automatic and advanced.

Let's compare them.

Automated creator

This is the default editor, and you don't have to be a web designer to use it. It's simplified, with fully automated design and responsiveness.

It also means that your editing options are very limited. You can choose which sections to add to your site and change its style. You can change the header, footer, and sections.

Again, we have to nitpick (that's our job) and say that there are only five styles to choose from.

In short:

With this easy to use editor, the Tailor Brands website builder gives everyone the opportunity to design the website of their dreams.

Advanced creator

Now it's a whole different story. With a little bit of web design know-how, you can do this:

  • Define the layout for mobile devices and tablets
  • Freely create and organize pages and pop-ups
  • Drag and drop widgets onto your site
  • Add an online store
  • Fully customize your site settings and more.

Of course, there are a lot of options linked to a subscription, but it's still impressive.

Strangely, once you switch to the advanced constructor, it's impossible to go back to automatic mode. You need to create a new logo or a copy of your current logo, then go to the Tailor Brands website builder and try again.

Digital card

This is a handy feature that brings all of your contact information together in one place and is also easy to set up. You can:

  • Choose the design of your card and even use your brand colors.
  • Add your business details and upload your photo
  • Add contact options.

You are free to check what happens on mobile devices and large screens.

However, additional settings are locked prior to publishing. To publish it, you guessed it, you have to pay a visit to one of Tailor Brands' subscription plans.

Social theme editor

Here, you can make sure that all of your social networks respect your brand design. That means consistent themes for your Instagram stories, Twitter covers and thumbnails, Facebook posts and profiles, YouTube banners, etc. You can even control your advertising.

Again, editing is simple. You can choose background theme styles and font sets and quickly create your brand aesthetic on social media.

Print shop

Not only can you design your logo, but you can also print it! It's an important part of promoting your business, after all.

So let's see what Tailor Brands has in store for us.

Tailor Brands Business Cards

The classic. As expected, the process is fairly simple. You can choose between 19 design models, in the colors of your brand. All you need to do is enter your business information and place your order.

Merchandise

Tailor Brands has really thought of everything and you can see for yourself.

You can print:

  • T-shirts, hoodies and caps
  • Totes and backpacks
  • Stickers
  • Notebooks, pens and post-its
  • Postcards, Greeting Cards, and Invitations
  • Water cups and bottles
  • Phone and laptop cases
  • Various products including ties, bottles, and magnets.

That's a lot of products! Unfortunately, the only thing you can personalize on these products is your Tailor Brands logo.

Customer Support

We also explored the often wild world of customer support.

Here is what we encountered.

The site's knowledge base is a comprehensive collection of short how-to guides and FAQ sections. They cover just about everything from the basics like using the Tailor Brands logo creator to using the advanced website builder. You can also search for the problem you have encountered in the handy search bar. Well done for that!

When it comes to reaching out to the Tailor Brands support team, you have the option to do so via email or live chat. No phone number is provided.

The live chat option is pretty much useless. Each time we tried to contact someone, we were redirected to email support because there was no one available to chat.

On the bright side, when we contacted them via email, we got a response in about an hour. They were useful and perfectly civil.

In truth:

All this reminds us a bit of the Tailor Brands app and its flaws. The support system is functional, but the lack of options leaves much to be desired.

Pricing

As a subscription-based service, Tailor Brands offers you three pricing plans to choose from:

Basic: $3.99/month (billed annually)

The offer and additional features include: $9.99/month (monthly billing), enjoy full ownership of your logo and get high-quality logo files, create your digital card, upload your images to use for your designs, use their mini website builder and graphic design tool.

Standard: $5.99/month (billed annually)

The offer and additional features include: $19.99/month (monthly billing), using your logo vector EPS files, using their business card tool, creating your business deck and brand presentations, using their comprehensive website builder, and creating an online blog.

Premium: $12.99/month (billed annually)

The offer and additional features include: Premium plan for $49.99/month (billed monthly), use their automatic social media scheduler and analytics tools, create an online store, sell your products on Facebook and Instagram, accept online payments.

If you want to run your business from one place, Tailor Brands annual subscriptions seem like a good deal.

If all you need is a uniquely designed logo, a basic monthly subscription could be your solution.

Remember that while previews of your logos are free, there's no free trial, free plan, or money-back guarantee.

Finally, you can pay by Visa, American Express, MasterCard, MasterCard, MasterCard, Diners Club, JCB, Discover, and PayPal.

FAQs

How does the Taylor brand work?

“To use Tailor Brands, you need to understand how to use their logo creator, who is also a brand identity developer. We offer you options... You are also free to use the software as often as you want. After approving the design, you will be taken to a studio where there are prototypes and rules for style. Then you can choose between three different prices.

Is Tailor Brands really free?

“Just download and upload - no need for a resizing tool. When you design a logo, they also create a free set of brand assets, like brand booklets, letterheads, business cards, and seasonal logos. So your business will have a professional look.

Final verdict

Let's go over the strengths and weaknesses of Tailor Brands together, one last time.

The way in which the brand creation method driven by theartificial intelligence by Tailor Brands streamlined the process of creating a brand identity is impressive. It's fast, it's simple, and it's AI-generated.

However, there are some problems with this approach.

It sacrifices a deeper approach to customization in favor of simplicity and versatility, which isn't such a bad compromise, but still! The lack of creativity in personalization and the absence of the human element make it difficult for you to get a unique design.

The Tailor Brands logo maker app is functional - up to a point. The same goes for customer support: you really can't rely on emails alone.

Nevertheless, the wide variety of marketing tools at your disposal is not to be disdained. Combined with a proper subscription plan, that's a great deal!

All things considered, we can conclude our review on a positive note. If you're trying to complete your brand strategy all at once, Tailor Brands is worth a try.
