How do I use Woodpecker?

Once you have registered with the platform, you need to create your email account.
Just go to Campaigns and click on “connect your email” and choose the type of email you want to use. 2. How to start a new campaign
If this is your first time creating a campaign, the process of adding a campaign will continue right after your email is connected. If not, you can create a new campaign by clicking the “Add Campaign” button in the top right corner of the page.
Then, you'll need to name your campaign (which won't be seen by anyone but you) and you can start your journey and add content to your opening email.

3. Writing your emails
You can start by adding your subject line to the copy of your email. Be careful not to paste text directly from the rich data editor such as a Word document, as this may cause text format issues.
Start your copy using Woodpecker's built-in email editor. You can easily change the font type and size by playing with the functions under the “Subject Line” heading. “The tool is easy for anyone to use, however, to change the color of your text, you need to switch from the text view to the HTML view.
Another thing you can do with your email is use the blue custom fields called “Snippets” located above the text editor to personalize the content of your emails.

4. Select the time zone
The next step is to specify the delivery time windows in which you want your messages to be sent.
Woodpecker offers three sending intervals. The timing can be checked in the right column. You are also free to use the time zones of your prospects if they are available.
By default, it sends approximately 37 emails per hour from an email account, but make sure the sending time is long enough for you to send all scheduled emails. To check this and adjust the sending frequency and limits, you need to go to your email account settings.

5. Add conditions
Once you've finished editing the content of the Woodpecker email, you can add conditions or move on to the next emails in the follow-up sequence that are only sent if you haven't received a response to your previous email. It's up to you to decide if you want to send them a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks later.
If you don't want to stay on a single path but use “if” conditions, you need to scroll down the page and click “Add condition.” The “if” conditions help you create two paths, “yes” or “no.” They allow you to send a specific sequence of follow-ups based on the emails opened/answered.

6. Add prospects
You have three ways to add a list of your prospects;

Let's import the CSV file. Woodpecker never adds the same leads twice unless you decide to update existing leads in the campaign. You need to match the names of your data columns in your CSV file with the available Woodpecker fields. Then, click on “Import” and then on “Add” to complete this step.
If you already have a large database of prospects, you can use filters to find the right contacts from the platform. Woodpecker will automatically detect if the person has already been contacted and let you know.
